SERVPRO of The Southtowns is a proud member of the Greater Buffalo Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association. If you’re a commercial property manager, or someone who services commercial property managers, and you’re not a member of BOMA, we’ll tell you exactly why you need to stop by a meeting.
What is BOMA?
BOMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to representing commercial real estate owners, professionals and service providers across the globe. As an international organization, BOMA has unprecedented reach and access that it uses for advocacy, influence and education.
What does BOMA do for its members?
BOMA describes its mission with the acronym “NEAR.”
The “N” stands for “networking.” One of BOMA’s primary roles is to help members to develop mutually beneficial relationships with each other. There are tons of opportunities to network, including monthly meetings that often pair lunches with exclusive building tours.
The “E” stands for “education.” BOMA offers tons of professional development opportunities for both property professionals and their vendors.
The “A” stands for “advocacy.” Our local BOMA chapter advocates for the commercial property industry on the local, regional, state and even national level, helping to educate elected officials about issues that have huge impacts on the future of Buffalo.
The “R” stands for Research. BOMA gathers data on the local and regional level and provides it to the membership, along with analysis that makes it easy to understand and act on.
