This month SERVPRO of The Southtowns hosted a Lunch & Learn Seminar covering the topics of “Property Water Damage Restoration & Emergency Planning for the Commercial Market”. This event was held at the Black Iron Bystro in Blasdell, NY. Guest enjoyed a specialty prepared lunch curtsey of Chef Bryan, and learned about topics such as:

• The material costs of water damage losses.
• The effect of water on structure surfaces and contents.
• Psychometrics, the science of drying.
• The factors and testing processes that determine restoration and salvage.
• The testing processes necessary to determine restorations vs. replacement.
• When ancillary services, including duct cleaning and specialty restoration processes, are required.
• How commercial Disaster Recovery and Emergency Response plans can reduce fire and water loss costs for both the insurance company and the property owner/manager.
