Moisture Reading

Water Damage Mitigation is more of a science then an art. Here at SERVPRO of The Southtowns we have a number of tools to specifically read moisture levels in any type of material. 

Wood may feel dry to the touch at up to 20% moisture content and may not show signs of water marks up to 30% moisture content, but using science we know that wood isn't dry until it is below 16% moisture content. 

As shown with these pictures, we take regular readings from day one of drying to show the progress until the materials are in a normal range.
