Rain Damage at ECMC
First we extract standing water from carpets. Extraction is an important step as it speeds up the drying process by removing a large quantity of water quickly.
Protecting the furniture is also a concern when dealing with high moisture and possible demolition situations. SERVPRO of The Southtowns takes precautions to ensure that there is as little secondary damage as possible.
Then we use air movers and dehumidifiers to remove moisture and complete the drying process.
Storm damage creates unique challenges as the water may be contaminated as it passes through soil and building materials. For this reason we generally consider storm damaged water to be category 3 water.
